Cup stand with eight treasures
This silver object features an intricate three-dimensional design made using a technique called repoussé. Seven of the Eight Buddhist Treasures adorn the interior of the cup stand: a wheel, an endless knot, a conch shell, an umbrella, lotus flowers, a pair of fish, and a treasure jar. A pair of rhinoceros horns—an auspicious symbol frequently depicted on Yuan-dynasty artworks—appears in place of the traditional eighth treasure, a parasol.
